It is a great joy and delight to introduce Les Clefs d’Or Japan and the activities our members are involved in.

Since 1997, Les Clefs d’Or Japan has been affiliated by U.I.C.H. Les Clefs d’Or, which has about 3,000 members worldwide. Our U.I.C.H International Les Clefs d’Or motto is “Service through Friendship.” This is not just our motto but is also our goal. At the start of the new period for our new committees this year, I listed four pillars that spell “P-A-R-T“ as actions for targeting to move our goal an extra mile forward.

A- Accumulate Information and Network
R- Relationship Building with Partners and Local Associations
T- Teamwork

As you know, Japan has an original culture and special barriers even in the hotel industry. Because of these circumstances, we are thinking up original services as Japanese concierges. On the other hand, we strive to maintain the good quality and standards of U.I.C.H. International Les Clefs d’Or. We are proud of all the members who always endeavor and challenge to better the work of the concierge and contribute to the concierge profession at all times. A concierge is in short, a professional service person with a special dedication, who will do anything that is humanly possible to achieve the satisfaction of their hotel guests.  Being a concierge, you will experience a variety of roles, such as personal assistant, nurse, business consultant, actor, ticketing agent, detective (!), coordinator, and private diplomat.  One of the fascinating natures of this profession is that each day is fresh & exciting, and different from any other.  It is said by our French senior concierge that “concierge” is a word just to describe a specific job title, where as “Les Clefs d’Or” is an honor, synonymous with “trust.”   Established in 1929 in France, Les Clefs d’Or is a worldwide network of concierges created to assist and provide better services by sharing expertise, sources of inside information & intelligence.   The insignia of Les Clefs d’Or, crossed golden keys, proudly shone on the lapels of our full members on duty has a hidden meaning that they are keys to accomplish the impossible.  In this last decade, customers’ inquiries on the availability of concierges in their hotel appraisal have shifted to the even more precise availability of Les Clefs d’Or concierges.  Thus the significance of our being in hotels is increasing day by day, by making our guests “great advocators” with the presentation of “The Only Hotel” & “THE Concierge” to each & every respective valued guest.
